**Due to inclement weather the race has been rescheduled to take place on Saturday, 20 MARCH 2010.
Thank you to everyone who braved the New England weather and showed up at City Hall to run despite the rain. I hope to see you all out this Saturday and hopefully the weather will be something a little more bearable. This Saturday will be our last shot though, so we will run rain or shine, or whatever other weather mother nature throws at us. Thanks again for the support today!

5K (3.1 miles) Run and Walk in New London
The purpose of this race is to promote health and wellness, education, and cultural awareness surrounding our downtown community. Come decked out in green to this exciting St. Patrick's Day celebration event. Special recognition will be given to those daring racers who wear a kilt!
Time and Locations:
The race will start and end at City Hall, 181 State Street. Pre-race registration will open at 9 a.m. with the race kicking off at 10. There will be a post-race get-together with awards at a location yet to be determined.
Awards and Prizes:
Awards will be given to high school students and elementary/middle school students. These awards will encourage them to continue seeking growth through education. All age group and military division winners will win free entry into next year's race.
